Trade-Stomil Ltd belongs to the main distributors of tyres and raw materials for rubber industry in Poland. Our business activity starts at the end of 60”, when we were acting as the Rubber Department of the Foreign Trade Enterprise “Skórimpex”.

In 1971, as the result of the reorganisation in the Polish foreign trade, we were taken by the Export and Import of Chemicals Company “CIECH”. We took the name : Ciech-Stomil and we were the only office of CIECH outside Warsaw.

We were responsible for running the complex service of export and import of products from the rubber industry and for supply of the raw materials and semi-products for this branch of industry. Due to the reasonable business activity and trade policy, we managed to enter new markets for the products of the newly-developed sectors of the Polish rubber industry (such like tyres from Dêbica and Olsztyn works, synthetic rubber KER, wide assortment of technical rubber products : conveyor belts, v-belts, hoses, rubber sheets, etc.

Economic changes and reforms taking place in Poland at the beginning of 90”, as well as the idea of Ciech to create a holding company resulted in transformation of our company into the trade(civil) law company. In the newly-established company with limited liability, the main partners (co-owners) were: CIECH , some of the leading Polish rubber producers and workers of our company.

Our goal was the permanent enrichment of our service and tasks. Apart form the normal trade activity we arranged commercial credits to support our partners in their investments and granted our assistance in conduction their business contracts. The first half of 90-ties was the period of dynamic growth and financial power of our company. Our shares in other investment products helped to increase the ratio of our shares in various interesting companies, building new and modern and warehouses and in running the investment activity at the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

But despite of this diversification of our tasks and goals, our main business remained the same, ie: intermediary in trade of the rubber products and raw materials for rubber sector. However we widened our business by logistic service for the Polish and foreign companies by investing in warehouse capacity. We started to assembly bicycles under brand name “Magnum” and created an own net of tyre services under the name “Top-Service”

As the result of the structural changes in the ownership structure and the agreement of the shareholders, on 26.11.2001 Ciech-Stomil changed its name into “Trade-Stomil Ltd”.
